How does the recruitment process at International Medical Partners work?

Obtaining a medical position requires not only professional preparation, but also a well-thought-out and smooth selection process.

International Medical Partners (IMP) aims to connect the most suitable doctors with domestic and international private clinics. It is important to us that our applicants know exactly what to expect from us at every step, from the first contact to the conclusion of the contract.

1. Contact and application

The process starts with an informal contact, typically by email or telephone. At this time, we arrange an online interview and ask for the applicant's detailed, well-structured CV. Current open positions are also available on our website, and we have previously shared useful CV-writing tips.

2. Online interview with an IMP consultant

The purpose of the approximately 30-minute online conversation is for our consultant to introduce the given position, answer questions about the clinic, job title, circumstances or even about moving out. This is an informal, introductory conversation, where the candidate can decide whether he or she wants to move on.

During the conversation, we ask questions such as:

  • What clinical experience do you have?
  • In what situations have you had to make a medical decision?
  • What principles guide you in patient communication?
  • What motivates you in this new opportunity?

For IMP, not only professional knowledge, but also empathy, teamwork and communication are key.

3. Preparation of a personalized IMP profile

If the applicant is open to continuing, we will prepare a personalized IMP profile for him or her, this is a transparent, professional introduction material, which we will forward to the partner clinics together with the resume. Based on this, the clinics will decide on the next step: whether to arrange a personal or online interview.

4. Clinical interview with the partner institution

If one or more institutions show interest, we will arrange a suitable interview time. For positions in Hungary, we typically organize a personal meeting, while for opportunities abroad, the online format is common. This in-depth professional interview gives the clinic the opportunity to get to know the candidate’s knowledge, problem-solving skills and work ethic better. The following topics may arise during the conversation:

  • How do you approach patient care in different environments?
  • How do you fit into a professional team?
  • How do you handle stressful situations?

At this point, candidates can choose from several offers, so they can make an informed decision about the clinic that best suits them.

5. Decision and contract conclusion

If there is mutual sympathy, the contract conclusion process can begin. IMP provides full support in this too: we help with organizing meetings, administrative administration, handling emails and, if necessary, interpreting.
